This 30-day training program is designed to equip participants with practical data analysis skills using Excel, Power BI, and SQL. The course will take learners through the fundamentals of data analysis, data manipulation, visualization, and reporting, while progressively introducing more advanced techniques. By the end of the program, participants will be proficient in handling datasets, generating insights, and using advanced analytics tools to support decision-making.

Week 1: Introduction to Data Analysis and Excel Basics

    • Overview of the tools: Excel, Power BI, SQL
  2. Excel Basics:
    • Navigating the Excel interface
    • Data entry, cell referencing, and basic formulas
    • Sorting, filtering, and formatting data
  3. Basic Excel Formulas:
    • SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN, MAX, IF, and VLOOKUP
  4. Data Cleaning in Excel:
    • Removing duplicates, handling missing data, and formatting for consistency

Week 2: Advanced Excel for Data Analysis

  1. Advanced Excel Formulas:
    • INDEX/MATCH, IFERROR, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and other conditional formulas
  2. Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts:
    • Creating pivot tables for data summarization
    • Using pivot charts for data visualization
  3. Data Analysis with Excel:
    • Descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode)
    • Using Excel for basic trend analysis
  4. Introduction to Data Visualization in Excel:
    • Charts: Line, bar, pie, and scatter plots
    • Best practices for visualizing data effectively

Week 3: Introduction to Power BI

    • Installing and navigating Power BI
    • Importing data from Excel and other sources
  2. Basic Data Manipulation in Power BI:

  • Creating calculated columns and measures

Week 4: Power BI Advanced Topics

  • Using slicers, filters, and drill-through reports
  • Incorporating real-time data

Week 5: Introduction to SQL

  • Sorting data with ORDER BY

  • INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, and FULL OUTER JOIN

Week 6: Advanced SQL for Data Analysis

  • Subqueries, nested queries, and common table expressions (CTEs)
